The Halland Smart Villages project highlights two key themes: better connectivity and use of digital technologies, and climate adaptation linked to the European Green Deal. RuralINT supports these priorities by integrating open spatial data, climate and land-use information and local socio-economic indicators into one lightweight, web-based platform.
The platform can be used both for local planning and for communicating Halland rural initiatives at regional and EU level, aligned with Smart Rural 21 (DG AGRI), the CAP Strategic Plan and the 2021-2027 cohesion objectives.
